(Indian Board of Alternative Medicines) is NO fake university. Few days back I found some link on internet, which claims that IBAM is listed in list of fake university.
We are posting here evidences and more clarity after the whole research so that any student won’t get effected from such rumors.
1. Open the UGC website and click on Universities and colleges > Universities >> Fake University
2. You shall view the list, where under west bengal you will see INDIANINSTITUTE OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE but we are talking about INDIAN BOARD OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

I have enrolled for the course Doctor of Holistic medicine and would not recommend the institute to others for the following reasons :
ReplyDelete1)I have sent two emails regarding exams but both requests have fallen on deaf ears which is quite the opposite to before i enrolled where I would receive a reply within a couple of hours. Only time they show interest is to ask for money whether enrolling or at the time for exams.
2)Secondly the courseware written by the IBAM inhouse is low quality and and not current in some cases and has lots of issues with it sometimes making it hard to understand. No one has bothered to run spell check on it or go through it even though computers have become a necessity and are supposed to make our work easier. In some instances, it does not answer adequately the questions in the course. The text books are much better with way less errors. I have no idea how it got ISO certifications as its really not International standard. Also, the courseware relates largely to the Indian scenario which is just the opposite of what i was told before enrolling for the distance learning program being overseas.
Would be interested to see what response I get.

R. Thakur had applied to well-known Euro-based bank for a job. She had provided a Bachelor of Medicine certificate from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, Kolkata. The Institute openly professed affiliation to the World Health Organization (WHO). AuthBridge was contracted to authenticate the degree and the claims of the issuing institute.
Symptoms and Diagnosis
AuthBridge began the authentication process by approaching various medical bodies. These authorities included the Councils of traditional and alternative medicines at the local and national level. None of these organizations had any knowledge of the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines (IBAM), Kolkata.
Since AuthBridge had no success with this first line of approach, our researchers then contacted the Regional Office for South-East Asia of the World Health Organization (WHO), New Delhi. We requested them to confirm their association with the Kolkata based institute. A copy of the certificate, issued by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, Kolkata, was sent in support of our enquiries.
Events moved along and things started to get interesting. The Secretary, WHO responded to our communication and categorically, denied any association or relationship with the institute. The WHO office then sent a ‘cease and desist’ letter to IBAM. The WHO requested the institute to remove any use of the name ‘World Health Organization’ from their stationery, published material, communications and advertisements in the future.
AuthBridge’s next step was to get in touch with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. We requested them (via email) to confirm whether the courses offered by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines were recognized. If so were the graduates from this institute qualified to be doctors? The Ministry replied, telling us that the courses and subjects were not recognized.
Our Prognosis
We informed our client of the facts of the matter.
In our records, this case was treated as ‘Discrepant.’
Non of the Alternative Medicine is recognised by Gov. Of India.
ReplyDeleteExcept MCI recognised Medical proffesionals are allowed to.practice few like Acupuncture and Megnetotherapy.
All other therapies are not recognised.and are not allowed to practice anywhere in India...

ReplyDeleteIBAM has been sealed by CID, Kolkata Police for issuing fake doctor certificates and medical degrees. The owners, Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President and Chandan Agarwal, Secretary were arrested and put behind bars for 3 months. They are out on bail but cannot start the fake degree business anymore. If you want your money back, you can write to "Forum Against Fake Alternative Medicines", Kolkata at smndrbiswas@gmail.com who are fighting for the legitimate rights of cheated ibam students.
